Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökmen Öztürk is a renowned General and Bariatric Surgeon. Dr. Öztürk earned his medical degree from Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine in 1994.
He completed his general surgery residency at Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital in Istanbul between 1994 and 1998, then worked as a general surgeon at Trabzon Fatih State Hospital from 1998 to 2006. Since 2006 he has practised at Medipol Hospital in Istanbul, and he holds the title of Associate Professor at Medipol University.
He has worked in bariatric and metabolic surgery since 2010. Dr. Öztürk uses minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques, which are now standard practice.
